In this talk, I'll use as a case study a compiler that I'm currently working on to show you how to build one from scratch using Elixir–explaining each phase of a compilation process and how Elixir can help us on this challenge–and, in the end of the day, I'll have obtained your Compilers 101 degree.

Hello! I'm Bruno Macabeus, and I work at Pagar.me, on the fraud prevention team. I'm from Fortaleza and now I'm living in São Paulo. I like to create open source projects and to collaborate on other community projects as well. For example, I was one of the top contributors in one of Rocket.Chat's native iOS app releases. I have collaborated on open source projects since I was 15.

Nos dias 29 e 30 de setembro de 2018 aconteceu a segunda edição do The Conf, com uma grade 100% de pessoas brasileiras, apresentando temas de tecnologia que vai de Web, a Games, a Data Sciences, mas apresentado inteiramente em inglês. O evento contou com aproximadamente 30 palestras, em 2 dias inteiros, com 2 tracks paralelas apresentadas simultâneamente.
