Resumo
When building distributed systems and microservices, failing gracefully and preventing catastrophic failure is key. Tools and frameworks based on the actor model have been surging to help tackle this kind of problems. We’ll show how we can leverage the actor model to build resilient and self-healing systems, using concepts as actor supervision, behaviors, event sourcing and virtual actors.
Minibiografia
Roger has a deep passion for open source and has been leading various open source project for over 15 years. He founded Akka.NET and is the project’s top committer. He is now focusing on Proto.Actor, a cross-platform actor-model framework for .NET and Go.

Entre 24 e 26 de abril, São Paulo recebeu a décima edição brasileira do QCon. Organizado pelo InfoQ Brasil e com palestras selecionadas por um comitê independente, esta edição contou com 3 keynotes, 81 palestras e 93 palestrantes, sendo 19 internacionais. Esse foi o QCon mais internacional do Brasil, o que levou o QCon São Paulo ao patamar dos maiores QCons mundiais.
