  • Quarkus 3.19 Prepares for LTS Release 3.20

    One month after the release of Quarkus 3.18.0, version 3.19.0 was released in February 2025. This is the last release before the next long-term support (LTS) version, 3.20.0, which is now feature complete and scheduled to be released on March 26th according to the Release Planning guide. The new release uses the new @ConfigMapping infrastructure, UBI 9 images and Mockito’s inline strategy.

  • Micronaut Framework 4.7.0 Provides Integration with LangChain4j and Graal Languages

    The Micronaut Foundation has released Micronaut Framework 4.7.0 in December 2024, four months after the release of version 4.6.0. This version provides LangChain4J support to integrate LLMs into Java applications. Micronaut Graal Languages provides integration with Graal-based dynamic languages such as the Micronaut GraalPy feature to interact with Python.

    Oracle introduced version 1.0.0 of the open-source Graal Cloud Native (GCN) IntelliJ IDEA Plugin for IntelliJ Ultimate, Community and Aqua. The GCN is a cloud-agnostic development framework which is based on the Micronaut framework. The plugin provides a new project wizard for IntelliJ to create a project once and execute it on various cloud platforms.

    Marcus Hirt, director of engineering at Datadog, released JDK Mission Control 9.0.0 almost three years after the release of JDK Mission Control 8. The new release requires JDK 17 and contains several bug fixes and new features such as support for Eclipse 4.30.
