He has more than three decades of scientific software engineering experience, focused on mathematical modeling and simulation, high-volume data acquisition, and data representation and analysis. He has reviewed, edited, and written books and articles related to technology since the late 1990s. In addition, he has served as community leader and lead editor for sites including the AOL Developer Network, Intel's ThreadingBuildingBlocks.org, and Oracle's Java.net.
