SeeTest, recently released by Experitest provides an ability to not only test Windows Phone 8 mobile applications but also iPhone (Non-Jailbreak & Jailbreak), Android, Blackberry and Symbian. The testing tool offers seemless integration with Visual Studio 2012, Team Foundation Server (TFS) and Microsoft Test Manager and provides support for developer enabled devices and emulators.
SeeTest includes a recorder which enables developers to quickly create tests. Moreover, objects are identified by native ID or by web properties in web and hybrid apps. It also includes object spy which enables you to inspect native or Web object properties.
After the download and installation of SeeTest, you need to connect the relevant device to your computer. Once you sucessfully complete this step you will be able to record and run test from UFT (QTP), TestComplete, RFT, C#, Junit, Perl and Python frameworks. It is also possible to run and view test results from Microsoft Test Manager.
In order to create a project, you need to make use of SeeTest template in Visual Studio 2012 and click on the SEETEST menu option to import tests and view execution results.
SeeTest also integrates into the complete testing lifecycle including app installation, launch and uninstallation including the ability to view results with highlighted UI elements.
