The Agile Alliance has announced the speaker lineup and program for the Agile 2014 conference being held in Orlando, FL, USA from 28 July to 1 August and for the Agile Executive Forum which runs in parallel on 28 July.
Mitch Lacey, Agile 2014 Conference chair said
This year we received nearly 1,100 submissions for just over 200 speaking slots, Narrowing down the selection was a very difficult task, as there were so many great proposals. In the end, we've chosen the sessions we believe will spark important conversations, generate transformative ideas and advance the leading edge of Agile thought.
The conference is made up of 17 tracks covering all aspects of agile delivery from leadership and management to coaching, development, testing and devops. The full program can be found here.
The Stalwarts track which was an experiment at Agile 2013 has returned:
Stalwarts bridges the gap between introductory sessions and advanced sessions, focusing on specific, real-time questions, challenges, dilemmas, and issues that attendees bring to the conference. Experienced agile/lean practitioners - folks who have been in the trenches for many years, who wrote the books, maintained useful blogs, created the methods and approaches, coached the coaches - show up for a focused conversation with the audience. No prepared slides or talks, just spontaneous dialogue with you about your real challenges and questions.
The stalwarts for 2014 are
- Ken Schwaber
- David Hussman
- Linda Rising
- Lisa Crispin
- Ron Jeffries & Chet Hendrickson
- Esther Derby
- Rachel Davies
- Kenneth S. Rubin
The Agile Executive Forum is colocated with the Agile 2014 conference, running on Monday 28 July.
