Trifork has bought and plans to re-launch CodeNode as London's largest tech conference venue. This location formerly hosted SkillsMatter events in London, and hosted nearly 2000 talks annually.
SkillsMatter closed its doors in November 2019 after going into administration owing a significant amount of money. Earlier this month it was announced via Twitter that SkillsMatter would be back in February, after being bought by new owners Quad4Group. The company's first priority is re-hosting the SkillsCast videos, according to a statement on the Skills Matter website.
Trifork sponsors the GotoConf and CodeSync conferences. Trifork was also an original sponsor of CodeNode, and has plans to continue the tradition of hosting tech conference events and user groups. The company also plans to develop the space as a multi-purpose tech hub based on FinTech, as well as to showcase its sister companies OpenCredo and ErlangSolutions.
Joern Larsen, co-founder and CEO of Trifork, said:
CodeNode's vibrant space and rich history in the developer community fit perfectly with our goal of establishing a thriving tech hub in London.
We are eager to reopen CodeNode's doors, build on the hard work the Skills Matter team put into this venue and welcome back many who have previously attended events there.
The CodeNode venue will be available to hire from March. Enquiries should be made to spaces@codenode.live.
