Tapajit Dey is a researcher at the Software Engineering Institute in Carnegie Mellon University, working on software architecture design, automation, and empirical software engineering. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and worked as a research fellow at Lero, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for Software at the University of Limerick. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degree (under the Dual-Degree program) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, and worked at IBM for three years before pursuing his Ph.D.
